I tried both of your suggestions with no success. (I applied the changes to example, B4a.) The world G4VisAttributes still had problems as I noted. Only when I added a color argument was the problem fixed.

For example, this worked:

  G4Colour dummyColour;
  worldLV->SetVisAttributes (new G4VisAttributes(false,dummyColour));

(It set the World color to white.)
