Hi Amy,

After you execute the program, the LXe example places you in the pre-initialize stage (as you noticed) such that a number of items may be set by the user. In order to initialize the simulation so that you can run events, you must issue the command:

/run/initialize

on the LXe command line. Then you can issue the /run/beamOn command to run events. Or you can run the included "LXe.in" macro, which shows you how to setup and execute a run (you must in the same directory as "LXe.in" when you launch the LXe simulation:

/control/execute/LXe.in
