It looks that cmake takes some of your Geant4 related environment variables and then generates the build files in a wrong directory.
Could you repeat the procedure in a new terminal session where no G4* variables are set? You can check this via typing :
env | grep G4
And you should get no output (except for paths to data files).

On my side, when I do:
cd /home/ivana
mkdir F1_build
cd F1_build
cmake -DGeant4_DIR=/my_path/geant4.9.5.p01_install/lib64/Geant4-9.5.1 /my_path/geant4.9.5.p01/examples/extended/field/field01
It gives:
-- The C compiler identification is GNU
-- The CXX compiler identification is GNU
...
-- Configuring done
-- Generating done
-- Build files have been written to: /home/ivana/F1_build

And then, to compile the example, you have to type:
make field01

Best regards,

Ivana
