Question DICOM dose compression

Forum: Documentation and Examples
Date: 02 Mar, 2011
From: Mike <Mike>

In the DICOM example the README file states the dose output "is produced, as an example, with a compression value of 32."

What exactly does that mean? I notice the Data.dat file indicates the text files created to build the geometry are compressed by a factor of 4. But, I am quite confused about the factor of 32 and its relation to the dose output (I cannot locate any compression of the data in the either.)

Thank you, Mike
