Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.
|1||0||1||no text / full text of posting|
|2||1||All||text for level 1 only / text for All postings|
Outline: Choose the depth of the posting thread, successive toggle controls provide increasing detail.
|1||2||1||2 levels / 1 level (original posting)|
|2||3||2||3 levels / 2 levels|
|3||3||All||3 levels / all levels (all postings)|
I have installed geant4 successfully, and i'm trying to run the first novice example:
toma@toma-R1F:~/geant4/N01$ make Using granular libraries ... Linking exampleN01 g++: exampleN01: No such file or directory make: *** [/home/toma/geant4/bin/Linux-g++/exampleN01] Error 1
I also tried running it from the ... /examples/novice/N01 directory.
My env.sh seems in order, LD_LIBRARY_PATH and CLHEP_LIB were set (before this i got the cannot find -lCLHEP.lib error)...
Also, i used to get the following error:
Using granular libraries ... Linking exampleN01 /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -l/home/toma/CLHEP/install/lib /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lCLHEP.lib collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [/home/toma/geant4/bin/Linux-g++/exampleN01] Error 1
So i set the CLHEP_LIB to be CLHEP-184.108.40.206, and got rid of the second error. For the first one i went into the binmake.gmk file, found where this path (-l/home/toma ...) was and removed the -l from in front of it. Sounds silly, but i had no other ideea.
Now i'm stuck with the error in the first paragraph and i have no ideea what to do.
