Respected Dr. Aso,

Many thanks for your reply. I have tried particle with kinetic energy filter and I do not get Compton edge in my spectrum. Also I need to simulate a detector response for 1000 energy bins, It will be great if you can help me with an example code. I also tried doing following:

Also, please let me know that if I enter:
/score/filter/particleWithKineticEnergy f1 0. 1. MeV e-
--or--
/score/filter/kineticEnergy range0 0. 1. MeV

In the above two lines the range 0-1 MeV, is that energy deposited or Kinetic energy of the incoming particle? Because I need it to be energy deposited in x axis.

And In the csv file generated there is a column called 'entries', can that be taken as counts in yaxis?

Sir, my final aim is to get Energy deposited vs Counts. I will be very grateful of any insight you can provide me in this regard.

Hi,

If you do not want to develop codes for scoring energy spectrum, the straightforward way is
to score energy deposit in each energy range.

For example,

/score/quantity/energyDeposit dep0  MeV
/score/filter/kineticEnergy range0 10. 20. MeV
/score/quantity/energyDeposit dep1  MeV
/score/filter/kineticEnergy range1 20. 30. MeV
......
