I'm attempting to merge ROOT output data including NTuples in Geant4-10-03-p03[MT] by calling G4AnalysisManager->SetNtupleMerging(true). The output files from each thread are indeed combined into a single ROOT file, but I am unable to subsequently read the file in either G4AnalysisReader or in ROOT itself.
When attempting to open the merged file in ROOT by calling TFile* f1=new TFile("mergedata.root"); I get errors such as:-
Error in <TFile::Init>: file mergedata.root has an incorrect header length (192) or incorrect end of file length (174)
The G4AnalysisReader method fails with a floating point exception.
I can read both unmerged files and those merged via hadd without problems.
Am I missing a step in the merge process?
