Question Issue with simulation believed to be caused by ROOT

Forum: Analysis
Date: 25 May, 2018
From: Jack Gallant <Jack Gallant>

Hello all,

I am running Geant4-10.04 on a Scientific Linux 7.5 virtual machine.

I have a simulation I would like to use as a basis for future simulations.

However, the simulation functions right up until I execute the command:

/run/beamOn

Doing this causes a segmentation violation, and then a core dump, and gives this error code:

Error in <UnknownClass::InitInterpreter()>: LLVM SYMBOLS ARE EXPOSED TO CLING! This will cause problems; please hide them or dlopen() them after the call to TROOT::InitInterpreter()!

This simulation is built to be used with ROOT, which seems to be the root of the issue.

Thanks in advance,

Jack
