None Tracking primary electrons in ionizatin process

Dear G4 experts.

I am trygin to understand the process of ionization in a gas detector. I have a muon gun that hits a ArCO2 gas. I would like to track the energy released for ionization and tracking the formation of primary electrons.

G4ElectronIonPair is the function I am trying to use for that, it basically tells you per step what is the number of electron-ion pairs created, based on some minimum energy you define. However it tells you the information about position and tracking of ions. I am more insterested in the energy and position of free electrons that are liberated.

Is this a sensible way to approach this problem. Is there another way to do this, like scoring secondaries?
