sorry about this, the discussion went off to private e-mails ...

to run Anaphe on RH 9 a couple of things need to be done after
downloading the binaries for redhat73/gcc-3.2 :

1) edit <your/path/to/anaphe>/share/LHCXX/5.0.6/scripts/ 
   and replace the "9.0" for redhat with "9"

2) ignore the "Segmentation fault" in, if you get it
   (this appears in some environments after the ending of python when
   unloading the libraries and is not yet traced, but is harmless)

3) cd to <your/path/to/anaphe>/specific/redhat73/gcc-3.2/OtherLibs/
   and replace the by a link:
   ln -s /usr/lib/

... and make sure you have added the path to the libraries:
<your/path/to/anaphe>/specific/redhat73/gcc-3.2/5.0.6/lib to your
LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable before running any executable.
