Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.

Hello, I am trying to create 1D histograms. The value that will fill the histograms varies from 0 to 5*mm with a probable mean of 0.1*mm. I was using the example B4. I set the histogram parameters as
My problem is its compiling fine and showing me the values as well. It is also creating the root file. I have root installed and running but when I try to view the histogram root file with TBrowser it says
Error in <TFile::ReadBuffer>: error reading all requested bytes from file annhisto.root, got 168 of 300 Error in <TFile::Init>: annhisto.root failed to read the file type data.
I have not used root before and am new to Geant so I am not sure if I am compiling it right.
I am compiling the same way i was without root under my build directory of the example in my terminal using "make". To start root I then type
I then open the file from that browser when I get that error message.
Please tell me what the problem is. Any help is appreciated.
