Question filling particles in root

Forum: Analysis

Hello Geant4experts,

I am using geant4.9.4 on SL5. I am simulating 12C ion beam in water. I want to fill yields of 12C. To get the yields. For this, I used:

if (pDef->GetAtomicNumber()==6)
{
  G4cout<<"Z = "<< pDef->GetAtomicNumber()<<"  "<<pDef->GetParticleName()<<"  x= "<<x<<"\n";

}

and getting output: //x is in mm

Z = 6 C12[0.0] x= -0.46702

Z = 6 C12[0.0] x= 0.330784

Z = 6 C12[0.0] x= 0.758671

Z = 6 C12[0.0] x= 0.966271

Z = 6 C12[0.0] x= 1.0325

Z = 6 C12[0.0] x= 1.42225

Z = 6 C12[0.0] x= 1.91411

Z = 6 C12[0.0] x= 2.24394

...

...

...

I am using openscientist and root for analysis.

How can I fill number of particles in root file to get attenuation(yield or normalized yield) along penetration depth?

Thanks in advance,

Summit
