 If you have the latest geant4 version (eg. 9.4), in examples/extended/analysis there are 2 versions of the same program : AnaEx01 (use aida) and AnaEx02 (direct interface to root). All the differences are only in the class HistoManager.

 You have also example/extended/radioactivedecay/rdecay02 which has the 2 variants
