Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.

Then the error at reading :
R__unzip: error in header
comes from the fact the OpenScientist version used (16.10) does not take into account the "new" compression (based on zlib in fact) introduced in the ROOT/5.x. It appears that in the last 16.11.4 the modifs in the Rio package were already here but had not been enabled. The patch to take this compression into account is to put (from a 16.11.4 source kit) in : Rio/source/zlib/ZInflate.c after the line : #include "zlib.h" the line : #define R__ZLIB
An off the list round trip with Jonning showed that it fixes this problem. This probably deserves a 16.11.5 patch release... Else, the sampling code "over AIDA" proposed in a previous mail seems to be ok too. (And that's right that it would be a good idea to put in common this kind of code... ).
