Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.

Having attended the Fermi tutorial two weeks ago, I have been emboldened to try some of the other examples. A set of them which interest me are the extended electromagnetic examples. I started with the first, TestEm1.
My first step was to comment out the line
G4NOHIST := true
in the GNUmakefile so that histogramming would be turned on.
Having JAIDA and AIDAJNI installed, what I thought were the correct additional environmental variables set and the correct scripts sourced with:
export JDK_HOME=C:/j2sdk1.4.2_01 export JAIDA_HOME=C:/JAIDA-3.2.0 source $JAIDA_HOME/bin/aida-setup.win32 export AIDAJNI_HOME=C:/AIDAJNI-3.0.4 source $AIDAJNI_HOME/bin/WIN32-VC7/aidajni-setup.win32
I proceeded to compile and run TestEm1 expected to have it produce a useless testem1.paw file.
Instead, when I inter the commands
>idle /run/initialize >idle /run/beamOn 100
it thows a fatal error:
" The instruction at "0x0803cef9" referenced memory at "0x000000c4". The memory could not be "written". "
Apparently, there must be more to converting this example to JAIDA than at first it appeared.
Can anyone give me some assistance in how to convert this example to work with JAIDA as Anaphe is apparently being phased out.
Thanks in advance!
