Question Using JAIDA with TestEm1

Forum: Analysis
Date: 07 Nov, 2003
From: Andrew Dummer <Andrew Dummer>

Having attended the Fermi tutorial two weeks ago, I have been emboldened to try some of the other examples. A set of them which interest me are the extended electromagnetic examples. I started with the first, TestEm1.

My first step was to comment out the line

G4NOHIST := true

in the GNUmakefile so that histogramming would be turned on.

Having JAIDA and AIDAJNI installed, what I thought were the correct additional environmental variables set and the correct scripts sourced with:

 export JDK_HOME=C:/j2sdk1.4.2_01
 export JAIDA_HOME=C:/JAIDA-3.2.0
 source $JAIDA_HOME/bin/aida-setup.win32
 source $AIDAJNI_HOME/bin/WIN32-VC7/aidajni-setup.win32

I proceeded to compile and run TestEm1 expected to have it produce a useless testem1.paw file.

Instead, when I inter the commands

 >idle /run/initialize
 >idle /run/beamOn 100

it thows a fatal error:

" The instruction at "0x0803cef9" referenced memory at "0x000000c4". The memory could not be "written". "

Apparently, there must be more to converting this example to JAIDA than at first it appeared.

Can anyone give me some assistance in how to convert this example to work with JAIDA as Anaphe is apparently being phased out.

Thanks in advance!
