Cc was actually not recognised as a command, so I created a sym link in same dir as gcc 4.2.4 (/usr/local/bin) so that cc->gcc and threw .sh/build. Compilation could then be completed.

With newly recompiled version of osc_batch, A01 example compiles, links and runs properly now. Seems problem is solved, thanks a lot!
