Question Detector Response Function....

Keywords: How to get Started? How to produce a gaussian-like peak?

hi Folks,

Am studying about "Detector Response Function", unfortunately this is not included in the Toolkit and I don't know how to start the codes so that I can obtain a gaussian-like histogram Peak. Some examples given in the toolkit(Geant4.4.1), produces histograms having a very, very sharp peak; I call it a "delta peak".

Some Geant4 experts say that the user has to implement this function by himself; like noise, background, and others.

Can you share some insights/leads/hints on this? I would appreciate it/them very much.

In particular, how and what is the better (or maybe best) way to approach/begin this thing? (I mean, getting started... )

Should the user write another separate source and header files for this implementation?
