Why. Both, ROOT and Geant4, are great pieces of software. And they even work together well.

Do you have a memory leak? Do you fill up your memory?

Do you really need cint in your application?

How do you link ROOT?

I use:

ROOTCFLAGS = `root-config --cflags` ROOTLIBS = `root-config --nonew --libs` CPPFLAGS += $(ROOTCFLAGS) LDFLAGS += $(ROOTLIBS)

in my GNUmakefile.

Maybe this helps.
