Hi Steven, JAIDA itself (the Java part) should run fine on a 64 bit system. However assuming you are building a 64 bit application you need to ensure that all parts of the program are compiled as 64 bit. In this case that means CLHEP, Geant5, AIDAJNI and Java itself all need to be 64 bit programs.

64 bit versions of Java are now available from Sun for Linux/AMD64 and for Windows XP 64Bit, from:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp

You would also need to recompile AIDAJNI for 64bits, I will need to check with Mark if he knows of anyone trying this up-to-now.

Incidentally, which OS are you using?

Tony
