Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.

Hi Sara, indeed if you get the kernel panic only with LUSTRE FS this smells like a problem not directly related to your G4 application, but instead to your specific system. Do I get correctly that: 1- If you write to a different FS you do not have problems to pass the 2GB "wall" 2- The problem appears for 2GB files, not less
If I got correctly, I suggest the following, to check if the problem is related with your machine or with the application you are using:
Try create a dummy file from bash on the LUSTRE FS of 2GB or more, if the problem is in the system, you should be able to reproduce the hang outside of your application and you will know where the problem is. For example you can use the command dd to generate a file of the desired file size.
