I've installed geant4_mt_proto.9.5.p01 on:
AMD Opteron(TM) Processor 6272 (cpu MHz: 2100.128) 64 GB RAM with Scientific Linux release 5.8 (Boron) 2.6.18-308.4.1.el5 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux.
The ParA01 runs fine.
My application fails.... it writes some GB of events, then I get kernel panic and I need to reboot the system. If I generate few events it runs smoothly on several cores (up to 20), if I require 15M events, for example, on 8 cores, after writing 2GB of events the system gives kernel panic...
Does somebody experienced the same issue? could you give me some hint on how to track down and fix the bug? If you want to take a look at my application, I put a clean working copy in:
Thanks a lot !
