Just wanted to post an update:

While using multithreading, I noticed that Geant4 wasn't using 100% of the processor power, something more like <20% and even 0% for some CPUs from time to time. I am not sure why this is happening, but it isn't due to Mutex locks because even when I wasn't collecting data from the simulation, the processor was still underperforming.

When I increased the number of particles the particle gun shoots in a single run, the CPU usage rose to 100%. This is the solution I'm currently using, but if someone understands this problem better and has a better solution, please let me know.
