Hello Andrea,

Thank you for that suggestion, I will re-implement my Nested Parameterisation.

However, I believe the issue (or possibly a different one) still persists when I remove the that parameterisation implementation.

I have tested a limiting case of a uniform voxelized geometry using repeated volumes rather than nested param (detector is comprised of world volume and PVReplica). It hangs less than previously, however still hangs at a post-step process.

The screenshots again show that the master thread is waiting for all threads to finish, one thread is stuck out of many that are finished. The one that is stuck is hanging on a post-step process.

Do you have recommendations for a better method by which to debug this issue, or is it best to rewrite the code from scratch and testing new components in multithreaded mode as they are implemented one at a time?

thank you again, Ming
