I removed the custom made scripts from the .bashrc file and removed all the other installations of Geant4.

It seems like the simulations are no longer suspended. However i still get the same message in terminal that the "Event 5000 starts with initial seeds (0, 0)".

I would still be interested in knowing what actually caused the simulation to hang up though.

Also can you verify that in MultiThreaded mode if you run the simulation with the following options;
/run/eventModulo 1000 1
/run/printProgress 1000

do you get the same message as "Event xxxx starts with initial seed (0, 0).
