Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.

I am simulating doses scored in small voxels in a phantom. I run 10^9 particles in the multi-threaded mode. I have seen, quite frequently, that initially all the worker threads are processing event just fine but as the total number of events reaches 10^8 particles (or so) some threads stops working and only a couple of them are processing the events. As the number of events grow further all of them stop and the simulation hangs up eventually.
This doesn't happen all the times though.
I run the simulation on a cluster with significant enough memory (24 GB) having 4 dual core cpus (1 thread per core). So I split the job in 8 threads.
Any suggestions why this is happening.
