It looks like the errors follow a MonteCarlo patter as well. I am running Archlinux and I have a similar issue but unlike you, mine is while compiling G4MTRandGeneral. The log says the following:

Compiling G4MTRandGeneral.cc ...
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `obj'. Stop.
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `clean_libs'. Stop.
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `obj'. Stop.
make[1]: *** [objs] Error 2

and it looks like is the solely error to compile. I know I am not adding anything to your problem. I just want to tell you are not alone and adding a bit of critical mass to hope for an answer.
