I am considering investing in one of a Tesla Phi type product or a GPU type product. I appreciate that Geant 4 does not yet support the latter but it appears to be a work in progress. From my research it is not clear to me which architecture, if either, is 'better' for particle MC. Is it clear to someone who understands the effects of the difference in architecture if one will be better than the other on the timescale of a couple of years? Beyond the obvious fact that the x86 Geant 4 MT exists now.
