Dear Hamza,

My impression is that you should familiarise with the advanced example protontherapy and the extended example DICOM.
Once you familiarise with Geant4 and such examples, I think you will have a more clear idea on how to proceed.

Kind Regards,
Susanna Guatelli

Subject: Proton dose calculation

*** Discussion title: Medical Applications

Dear All I am working on CBCT-based proton therapy and I have modified some CT images and I think the quality is much better with my approximations. For this purpose, I want to test/check those images by calculating dose profiles such as DVH etc. My question is: how can I calculate the proton dose? Am I need to design/ model a proton treatment head and do dose calculation? I am using it on Vgate72. Please explain in details. I am new user, not an expert of Geant4.

Best Regards
