Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.
|1||0||1||no text / full text of posting|
|2||1||All||text for level 1 only / text for All postings|
Outline: Choose the depth of the posting thread, successive toggle controls provide increasing detail.
|1||2||1||2 levels / 1 level (original posting)|

Dear Sarah, |
the Hadrontherapy example, as other ones, uses the GPS (General Particle Source) for primary event generation. Hence, you can use all the available commands provided by this tool (please, have a look also to the related guide: http://reat.space.qinetiq.com/gps/new_gps_sum_files/gps_sum.htm).
Specifically, for the case of the energy, you can use the proper command that you will find in one of the provided macro files. For instance, in the hadron_therapy.mac macro file, you will find the command:
/gps/ene/mono 62 MeV
and you may change the value of the incident anergy, as well as many other parameters you'll find in the macro file. You can find these files inside the "macro" directory (inside your build directory).
To change the material, in general you have to do that in your DetectorConstruction.cc file, and you can find a detailed explanation on that in the User's Guide for Application Developers.
In particular, in the Hadrontherapy example you may also use the following command to change the phantom material:
To change the materials of other volumes you have to edit the HadrontherapyDetectorConstrucion.cc file and modify the specific LogicalVolume.
