Dear Honghuan,
I tried to switch on C12 and everything seems working fine. Also I can produce the output Dose.out file with a proper range for C12 ions. I am wondering if you are well defining kinetic energy. Could you please provide additional information on that?
Also, I would like to suggest you to switch to the new hadrontherapy version (included in the geant4 release 9.6), where GPS (General Particle Source) is used for generation of primary particles. It includes lots of useful commands for generation of particles (spectra, angular distributions, etc.).

Cheers,
Francesco
