hello forum. I'm a new Geant4 user from America and I am having some issues with installation. Thus far, I have installed the cygwin and CLHEP and unzipped geant4_9_0_p01 file. After opening cygwin and typing cd c:/Geant4/geant4_9_0_p01 ./Configure -build All these series of questions come about. I have answered them as provided by the installation manual. Once all the answers are answered, the system started to build but I got an error message. it is as follows: The syntax of the command is incorrect. '[' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. '[' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. '[' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. '[' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. The system cannot find the path specified. c:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2007a\bin\win32\gmake.exe: *** [banner] Error 1 what syntax is it talking about? If anyone can help me with it, I'd really appreciate it. thanks heeteak
