Question Warning Messages when using QGSP_BIC and QGS_BIC List

Forum: Hadronic Processes

Hello,

when using either the QGSP_BIC or the QGS_BIC list to simulate the hadronic interactions, I have the following messages during the execution:

"
 RandGeneral constructed nothing in bins - will use flat distribution
RandGeneral constructed nothing in bins - will use flat distribution

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
  what():  std::bad_alloc
Abort
"

It does not happen when I am using the LHEP_BERT or the QGSP_BERT list. It is not a crash of the program because my output file (a .root file in the present case) is correctly created and can be re-read.

What does this warning message mean ?

I am using Geant4 9.1 patch 0 with Ubuntu system.

Thanks for the information,

Hello,

The warning about RandGeneral is known for a long time. It is connected with Binary Cascade. It is not necessary connected with the Abort you have at the end of your run - use gdb or other debuger to find out the source of the Abort.
