Question about inelastic models in Geant4

Hello,

I know that Binary Light Ion Cascade Model for inelastic scattering can't be applied to generic ions with A>12, unless the material in which they travel has A<13. And also G4wilsonAbrasionModel can't be applied to generic İon if they have energies < 70MeV/n.

I use Ar ions (A=40 for Ar) with energy 20MeV/n as a projectile, and silicon material (A=28 for silicon) as a target in simulation. I can't use both Binary Light Ion Cascade Model and G4wilsonAbrasionModelthese in such a case.

Could you tell me what can i do, please?

any comments are appreciated,

best regards,

adnan.

Hello,

You can try to use BinaryLightIoncascade for your case. The limitation as you mention really exists but is not strong.
