None Doppler broadening from proton inelastic collision with nucleus

I am looking into the scattered gamma spectrum produced by a 40 MeV proton beam on a carbon target. From experimental measurements, the 4.4 MeV carbon peak created by the de-excitation of the nucleus should be doppler-broadened, but my simulations do not replicate this phenomenon, instead giving a sharp peak. Is it possible to reproduce this doppler-broadening with Geant4? I found that the NeutronHP model produces the doppler-broadening for neutrons, but it doesn't seem to do anything for protons. Thanks for your help, Steve

PS. I am using Geant4.9.1 with the precompound physics list from the Hadrontherapy example.

Currently there is no Doppler broadening for proton-induced processes in Geant4. It does exist in the high precision neutron processes (for the target nucleus) so the mechanics could in principle be transferred to a specialized proton process.

At this time we do not have the manpower to do this, and so we would encourage a collaboration in which an experienced user could do the development and testing under the direction of a Geant4 expert.
