Hi!

First of all thank you for your suggestions.

The other codes I have used so far are MCNP4C2 and PENELOPE v2001, the results of the first one were in excellent agreement with the experiment. I am attaching 2 plots that shows the results I obtained with MCNP4C2 and those with GEANT4.9.2 for 30keV electrons on Cu.

Soon I plan to use the latest version of PENELOPE v2008, since there have been significant updates and changes to the inner-shell ionization models since v2001. The results of v2001 also underestimated the K X-ray/continuum ratio, but not as dramatically as what I observe with GEANT4.9.2

I knew about this package but never tried it as it has improvements for low energy Compton scattering. An effect I assume only to be significant for X-ray fluorescence applications, i.e. when the primary particles are low energy photons/gammas and not, as is in my case, electrons.
