Question Experimental verification of low energy ionization

Keywords: low energy ionization verification
Forum: Electromagnetic Processes
Date: 21 Nov, 2002
From: Jesse Wodin <Jesse Wodin>

I was wondering how much experimental verification there has been of the low energy ionization libraries? Specifically, I'm ionizing Xenon starting with 1MeV e-, following secondaries down to ~12eV (the ionization potential of liquid Xe). Can I can trust the ion production and e- energy losses to 1%,10%,20%?

Thanks!

Jesse
